Mother Gnanamma Women’s College of Arts and Science has the pride of being the first women college in Ariyalur District. It is located in 30 acres of land with sprawling site of scenic beauty, healthy and peaceful atmosphere. It was established in the year 2007, recognized by the Government of Tamil Nadu and affiliated to Bharathidasan University, Trichy.

This college has an excellent infrastructure with well equipped library and laboratories. It has been serving as beacon light in the backward areas of Ariyalur District. It emphasises teaching and learning programmes in different disciplines for the benefit of thousands of students who pursue higher education.

The eminent team of faculty members along with the management are committed to uplift and emancipate the girl students of the locality. This college offers both undergraduate and postgraduate courses.

Our motto is to provide higher education to the downtrodden and socially backward section of the society and to help them realise their uniqueness and purpose of life. And to help the women of this locality to know more about Mother Gnanamma, a glorious reformer who has worked tirelessly for the holistic development of women. Students of Mother Gnanamma College are called as Gnanamites.
