The much-awaited Inauguration Day for first-year students at Mother Gnanamma Women's College of Arts and Sciences finally arrived on 3^rd July 2023. The day commenced with a heartfelt tribute to our beloved Mother Gnanamma, the patroness of our college. Students and faculty members gathered around her statue to pay their respects and express gratitude through floral adoration. 

Following the tribute ceremony, a unique twist awaited the students. They were encouraged to write their wishes on colourful balloons, which were then set free, symbolizing the soaring dreams and ambitions of the freshers. Afterward, the students moved to the conference hall for an orientation session, inaugurated by Principal Dr. Vimali. She emphasized the college’s vision and commitment in providing holistic education. Sr. Joseph Rajeswari, the secretary of our college, took over the session and delivered an entertaining yet meaningful talk. Her speech centered on the importance of personal interests and maintaining a healthy lifestyle.

The next two days of the orientation program was led by Sr. Celine Sharmila, who engaged the students in various activities and exercises to build their confidence in expressing themselves fluently and effectively. The final day of the orientation program revolved around the power of education. Sr. Celine Sharmila passionately spoke about how education has the ability to transform lives, empowering individuals, and creating positive changes in society.
